Terms & Conditions — Cape Mining Mixer 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to attendance and participation at the Cape Mining Mixer (the "Event"). By purchasing a ticket, accepting a ticket allocation from a sponsor, or entering the venue, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Tickets & Admission

  • Tickets are issued by the organiser or allocated to sponsors. Ticket allocations are subject to the organiser's policies.
  • Public ticket sales open on 12 January 2026. Ticket price is R1,000 unless otherwise stated.
  • Tickets are personal and non-transferable unless otherwise permitted by the organiser. The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to ticket holders who cannot produce valid proof of identity or ticket.
  • If a ticket is lost, stolen, or duplicated, the organiser and venue are not liable for replacement unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Refunds & Cancellations

All ticket sales are final unless the Event is cancelled or materially changed by the organiser. If the organiser cancels the Event, refunds or alternative arrangements will be provided at the organiser's discretion.

4. Conduct & Safety

Attendees must follow venue rules, staff, and security directions. The organiser reserves the right to remove any person whose behaviour is unlawful, unsafe, or disruptive.

5. Photography, Filming & Media

The Event will be photographed and filmed. By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded and permit the organiser to use such media for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes without payment or additional consent, unless otherwise arranged in writing.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the organiser and the venue accept no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from attendance at the Event, except where caused by the organiser's negligence.

7. Health & Accessibility

Attendees are responsible for their own health and wellbeing. The organiser may implement health and safety measures in line with current guidance. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact info@capeminingclub.com in advance.

8. Data Protection (POPIA)

The organiser collects and processes personal data for ticketing, entry management, communications, and marketing. Attendees who opt-in may have their details shared with sponsoring organisations, subject to POPIA-compliant consent. For details on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy (POPIA) policy.

9. Prohibited Items & Activities

Prohibited items include weapons, illegal substances, fireworks, and any items that present a hazard to other attendees. Smoking, open flames, and pyrotechnics are not permitted unless expressly authorised.

10. Modifications & Force Majeure

The organiser reserves the right to modify Event details (including time, venue, or programming) without prior notice. In the event of force majeure (events beyond the organiser’s reasonable control) the organiser may postpone, relocate, or cancel the Event and will notify attendees as soon as reasonably practicable.

11. Intellectual Property

All Event branding, logos, materials, and content are the intellectual property of the organiser or the relevant rights holders. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be dealt with in the competent courts of South Africa.
